Habiba Alvi

Habiba was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2015 and joined the firm immediately thereafter in 2015 and has since then developed her practice in commercial litigation with a prime focus on Telecommunication laws, Company disputes, Winding up, Oil and Gas, Civil Defamation and Sports law. She has a substantial practice in Banking and Finance, representing both Financial Institutions in recovery proceedings as well as individuals/customers in disputes with banks in civil as well as criminal jurisdictions before the Banking Courts which also includes an active Appellate practice in banking appeals to the High Court.

She regularly appears before the High Court, Federal Ombudsman, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, Competition Commission of Pakistan and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority whilst also assists the senior Partner in matters of complex constitutional questions before the Supreme Court.

Habiba has also assisted on various international arbitrations before the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) as well as appearing before local Arbitral Tribunals pertaining to contractual disputes.
